Training Notes Apprentice 2015/2016


We are delighted to announce  that as part of our music and healthcare training programme ‘Training Notes‘, Kids Classics through the support of Create Louth, the arts service of Louth County Council, have awarded Uilleann Piper Brendan McCreanor a Music in Healthcare Apprenticeship in 2015/2016. Brendan will be mentored by our experienced trainers and work as part of a team of musicians in healthcare settings across Louth and Meath.

Brendan McCreanor is an award winning traditional Irish musician from Dunleer, County Louth. A master Uilleann piper, he also plays whistles, fiddle and flute. A BA Honours graduate in Applied Music from DKIT in 2008 Brendan is founding member of Louth based trio Kern. More recently he has lent his talents on uilleann pipes and low whistle to world class performers Sharon Shannon and contemporary singer songwriters such as John Spillane.  Brendan is uilleann pipes tutor in Dundalk Institute of Technology and also teaches at the Droichead Arts Centre in Drogheda.
